I am an Assistant Professor ("Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter") in the Philosophy Department at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany. In 2017, I earned my Ph.D in Philosophy at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, working with Mark Schroeder (chair), Stephen Finlay, Janet Levin, and Ralph Wedgwood.
Before USC, I was a Technical Operations Manager in the EdLab at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York, New York. Prior to TCCU, I earned my BA in both Philosophy and History at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Outside of work, I've spent a lot of time shooting and editing feature-length independent films for 908 Media, including Close to Midnight and Return to Start. I was also in a band that was lucky enough to release a few singles, a full-length record, and tour Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Japan, Poland, and the United States, a few times over. My wife and I also have a companion.
